I doubt anyone in the band would have imagined that within 7 years you would have so many chart hits, and a singer who became so well known. You also got to tour the world and never sold out in terms of always bringing out interesting, intelligent, credible, and exciting music. In short was your success and longevity (fast approaching 50th anniversary!) beyong your wildest hopes and dreams?

Did you sample the entire part of the rap that appears on the song or did you contact the artist to add great lines like: "For the drop of a hat, The drop of a Rat, the drop of a beat you might have listened to & thought was phat" ? In Feb 1985 I was skint the night you played Doncaster Gaumont. I walked round the back and cheekily asked one of your tour entourage if I could 'get in'. He duly obliged. It was a great gig. A big thanks to whoever that was?

One final one: does the band like the 7" single (and best known )version of "Up All Night"? It wasn't included on the remasters and doesn't regularly turn up on the compilations that have been released
