A very sad looking tarot card, I know. That's because it describes some of the saddest or some of the hardest things we will ever experience. But it's okay...Or it will be okay. Don't do too much running around ~ it may add to the frantic feelings. Definitely don't pretend you're happy if the feelings depicted in the above card, the 10 of Bats (10 of Swords in a standard tarot deck), are an accurate visual representation of how you're feeling. That only ever makes matters worse. Just be still. And feel. And think...and take all of the time you need.

There are kind and sympathetic souls all around you. Just look up. You may have a very caring cat or dog by your side & they REALLY help.

The 10 of Bats/Swords is the culmination of the problematic Bats/Swords suit. In the 10 of Bats we see a woman lying beneath water. The sky above her is black but there are also 2 golden stars very close to her which represent Hope. Then there are those mountains making their presence felt. They're shaded in purple & at quite a distance. I know everything you want seems so far away right now but you WILL get to those mountains. It's just going to take some time.

Because this card is a 10, the culmination of a suit, it means there has been excessiveness in some area of your life. It could be excessiveness on your part or on the part of another (or both in equal measure) but this point that you're at really had to come. Things just couldn't continue as they were & as much as you feel like you're drowning in all of it there is a certain sense of relief you feel. The worst has happened & now you can begin, little by little, to find your way to a new path. But for now rest is needed. Particularly rest for the mind since the suit of Bats/Swords deals with matters of the mind, our thoughts, & communication of all kinds. You've probably communicated until you were exhausted & depleted or TRIED communicating with someone until you were exhausted & depleted from their not being willing to engage in communication back. The 10 of Bats/Swords astrological association is with Sun in Gemini but this is not the bright, sparkling, light~hearted, floating~on~a~gentle~breeze side of Gemini. In this particular situation all of that has come to a standstill because there has been confusion & communication breakdown. There were two paths to choose from & maybe you feel like you chose the wrong one but it's okay. There's a New Moon tomorrow & tomorrow is your chance to begin again. There's no denying that the end of a once strongly hoped~for & longed for dream is deeply painful ~ it can be truly, deeply painful. But little~by~little new dreams are about to find their way in, so take that rest that you need ~ there are sparkling roads ahead.
