That is the Love, Steadiness, and Warmth of the Queen of Pentacles, the card I've drawn today. Right now, we're all surrounded by her since we're still under the influence of the Full Moon in Virgo. The Queen of Pentacles is a Capricornian female but she corresponds with all 3 earth signs ~ Taurus, Virgo, & Capricorn. I've placed side~by~side, the Queen of Pentacles from the Druid Craft Tarot, the deck from which I drew, and the Queen of Pentacles from the classic Rider~Waite~Smith tarot because it so beautifully captures the graceful manner with which she carries herself. Upon this Queen's throne, you will see the head of a goat carved into her armrest, representing Capricorn, and a bull's head carved into the side, symbolizing Taurus (2 bulls are also seen carved into the throne of the Queen of Pentacles of the Druid Craft Tarot). In both decks, she's surrounded by a rich & lush landscape. All in the world of the Queen of Pentacles is warm and soft to the touch. Her appearance today is a reminder to surround yourself with all that feels warm and good to you...with what sounds good to you... the Queen of Pentacles is greatly connected to music through her connection to Taurus. Don't deny yourself. Above all, never but never settle for second best. Because the Queen of Pentacles is connected to the Earth element, she has great powers of endurance & patience. She could never be happy with anything less than who and what she really wants in life & neither should you. Especially in the matter of who. She knows that Love is far too important ~ the greatest reason we're here, in fact ~ to not wait for your Soul Mate. To pair with or marry someone because it's what you're "supposed to do" by a particular time would be the greatest betrayal to yourself. From the time of her birth, the Queen of Pentacles has never walked to someone else's timing or rhythm... only her own. It's never misled her. And she's so deeply in touch with it. That's the reason the Queen of Pentacles of the Druid Craft Tarot's feet are bare, one upon the earth & one upon a rock. Nothing could be more fitting ~ she has such assuredness in her every step & one of the biggest reasons for this is that she does stay in touch with all of the things of the physical world all the time ~ the ground beneath her feet, the wind that softly tousles her hair, the stars in that vibrant midnight sky...She breathes it all in...deeply.
Just like the Queen of Pentacles, go out into the night sky tonight and when morning comes again, step with your bare feet into the morning dew sparkling on every blade of grass. Close your eyes & really feel it. Taking all of this in...breathing all of this in...is how the Queen of Pentacles stays so deeply in touch with herself. That, and she was born with an inner sense of Knowing...but we all are. Being in touch with it is easier for some than for others ~ some may have to focus more on it ~ but we all can do it ~ and it's so worth it. If the Queen of Pentacles could say one thing to you it's "Never betray yourself ~ always remain true to yourself."
Every one of us deserves to feel the peace of the Queen of Pentacles sitting surrounded by lush greenery in her garden...or soft pillows on her couch in that living room with the softly burning fire where all she's focused on is you. She wants you to focus on you, too.
