Mutual respect is the rule number one for everything.I work with a group helping people with social and emotional problems and we must know what their real needs and wishes are before everything. Most of times, helping means respect first and do something else only when is necessary (sometimes what you think I need doesn't bother me). This rule should be used in all kind of relationship, otherwise, I would be acting with arrogance. Liked this audio very much.

So true. Respect is the cornerstone of everything in my book. It is the fabric of relationships of all kinds. It ensures that we really listen and HEAR the message you are sending.

Absolutely right
A very interesting talk. I like the idea of asking those we are helping what they need. Simple but surely very effective.
