Between 1988-1997, with only one year skipped due to political unrest (1990) in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, a widely attended series of festivals was held called Rock Summer. It was a tradition to have a varied selection of countries represented & in 1992, representing Ireland, was Bob Geldof & The Happy Clubsters (the other 2 Irish representatives were the Hothouse Flowers and Four Men And A Dog). The event was held on the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds and is another of those happy occurrences where the audience and band are just SO into it, in watching the performance your spirit gets really caught up in the day along with them! If you'd like to experience this for yourself, just click on the link up above to watch Bob & the Happy Clubsters give the crowd a great rendition of "Love Or Something". The link is just below a sample of one of the great tickets you got to have in your possession if you were lucky enough to attend "The Happy Club Tour"! A Sunflower from me to you...🌻
Love,
Jennifer 🌻
No I have not had one of those. That's sounds really rubbish! Even if you don't remember the web address your relying on it to always exist. We should start a protest!
'We want paper tickets! We want paper tickets!' Ha Ha
Thanks Jennifer! You make a good point about how tickets evoke really good memories. That's definitely true.
They take you back to that moment of the actual concert, the venue and anything else you remember on the day! 🐁
You know what's really a rip off? The "commemorative" tickets you sometimes get with mobile phone tickets, ha, ha, ha! They actually make a big deal enough about those to advertise it as though it's an extra reason you'd want to buy a ticket! Who has ever gone back to look at their digital commemorative ticket? You literally look at it once & never again!
Here is a photo showing some of my tickets. 🙂
Great video! Love that ticket! The Happy Club need to do some shows again. What a band!! 💙♣️🐀
