So much to bring you this month. It’s Pete’s birthday and we will be posting a chat that we are recording with him in the coming days.
July is the month that in 1978 saw the release of A Tonic For The Troops. Jules looks back at the album, which I suspect is a favourite with many of you.
July 13th is also coincidentally the date of 2 of the most significant events in the history of the band. It saw the release of ‘Mondays’ and the day that Live Aid was held. We take a look back at both, with COB contributing their memories of what they were doing on that glorious day at Wembley.
We will also be tormenting you again with another quiz prepared by Suss, with some special prizes on offer. Details to follow next week.
Any we will be running a poll asking you to vote on which is the most defining event in the history of the band. This will be posted in the next couple of weeks.
There will also be more tracks suggested to you in Something For The Weekend and an album club recommendation from Jules.
To finish, there is a COB meet up this Saturday at Sign of the Times and, we hope, a very special meet up at the Forever Young festival in Ireland later this month.
