Just another to throw into the mix…

Saturday and Sunday fairly obviously I suppose leading the way. Can think of at least a couple more for Saturday but happy to hold back for others. I quite like Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe. Always considered them in similar vein and both probably not getting the popularity the songs merit. Good examples of superb musicians/songsmiths that (controversial comment maybe) don’t have the mythical X factor. For now I’m going to throwback this one from Sound Affects, and in the competitive spirit of MarigoldsbyMandy will try to counter any new entries. Obviously I may struggle if @cmarx continues to trawl back in time to her childhood 😂😂. For time being….

Not bad! Guessing it was a one hit wonder as they probably couldn’t afford anymore studio time after 6 minutes on that one. Have certainly heard worse and this genre always reminds me of 80s films soundtracks for the plethora or teen films that seemed to come out regularly.

Did set me wondering about songs for every day playlists. Here’s a top of the head stab at it. Would be good to add any other obvious or obscure and a) see which day appeals most to writers b) which songs appeal most to COB.

Couldn’t think of any other Monday songs…..

Love the Mott track if only because it makes Croydon sound good 🥰

Appreciate there are many more I could have added in but interested to see what others get offered, especially any lesser known possible gems.
