I am beyond crushed and heartbroken to have to say this. Shane MacGowan, lead singer of the Pogues and one of the greatest songwriters of all time, has died. He went into the hospital in Dublin in June, was diagnosed with a very serious blood infection, and was released from the hospital only last week ~ I'm assuming now, to be able to be at home and with his wife that he loves more than anything in the world, Victoria Mary. Please keep Victoria Mary in your hearts. ❤️ She's one of the kindest, sweetest, most giving, loving, and deeply spiritual people on earth. She, in return, loves Shane more than anyone in the world. They're without question, two of the Most Beautiful Soul Mates to have ever existed on earth and if ever a Love will go on forever, it's Shane and Victoria Mary MacGowan's. ✨🤍🤍✨ Shane proudly called himself Mr. Victoria Mary. ❤️❤️
Please, I encourage everyone to share their thoughts and feelings about Shane, Victoria Mary, Shane & Victoria, and the Pogues here...
❤️❤️ WE LOVE YOU, SHANE ❤️❤️
Love,
❤️ Jennifer and All Of Citizens Of Boomtown ❤️
Rum,Sodomy & the Lash was the last album I bought in the UK before I left. What you saw with Shane is what you got.Either you loved him or you thought he was mad.I thought he was a genius and he will sadly be missed.
I knew of the pogues but wasn't too familar with their library. Then my coolest friend re-introduced me to them about this time last year. It's never too late to love and appreciate art. that stands the test of time What a talented artist 💔💚
