ANNOUNCEMENT TO BOOMTOWN CITIZENS
With great reluctance Bob, Garry, Pete and Simon are rescheduling their UK tour and any other events involving The Boomtown Rats to next year. This is due to the covid 19 crisis and the current direction in numbers of infections and the likely hood of future lock downs.
This has been decided with a heavy heart. Meantime hang out in Boomtown and introduce yourself to our Boomtown Mayor Jules and don't forget to mask up.
Expected... just let me know what’s coming up and I’ll be there.. 💚🐁💚
That’s my frustration messages over 👍
Sorry sorry sorry. Hasta la vista. A lot of positive plotting and planning going on
Totally expected. I fear it may be 2022 before we get back to live music as we have previously known it - not a pessimist but the figures indicate this is not going away (Donald take note!). I think Bob in a recent podcast dismissed the idea of zoom and certainly acoustic! So lets support Jules in making this the place to stay in touch, share stories, tales and music! Let’s hope the Controllers of CoB support some of her ideas and proposals to get this site more active and relevant for BTR fans!
Sad, but necessary. Vaccine is there and soon everything will be back to normal. I hope to be there too, watching the band alive in 2021. In the meantime, we stay here, in Boomtown, talking to the mayor, councilors and other citizens
Anticipated news. We're all waiting for the world to resume, and awaiting an effective vaccine. I look forward to traveling to see the Rats at our earliest opportunity!
It is still showing that they are playing at The London Palladium? Any idea if this is happening? I guess not. So pleased we had Minehead to enjoy before all this!
Understandable, but It’ll be twice as good, when the band eventually take the stage I’m safer surroundings. In the short-term, havethe band considered doing a virtual concert by Zoom or some similar Digital platform? I for one would pay to see. It would keep us all going (Like Clock Work) 💙
I feel bad they had to cancel it again it's such a shame, but most certainly the right thing to do with the way things are going again.
