It is run by the local Community ,who fundraise and volunteers on the day. ALL the money goes to the local Community, not a Promoter. The organiser is a big Rats fan, says he has tried very hard to get them there. Once you get a wristband, you can come and go. For booze, you have to buy drinks tokens with CASH. Then redeem them at the Bar worth 3.50 each. Bar closes at 9.15. The Lochside Cafe will be open as usual from 9,30 am. for food and drinks and PROPER loos.. Don't think it is licenced. There are beautiful walks round the Loch and in to the hills. Lots of wildlife. Lochore is an oasis in a redundant mining area. Surrounded by several run down towns and villages with nothing left. Big Country is a local Band and there is a Stuart Adamson Avenue/ Road,/Drive not far, so many will be there to see them. Also a couple of local Bands are playing too, which is great. Fifers are Down To Earth People and staright talkers. If they don't like you they will let you know. I am sure the Band will work their magic. Looking forward to it. The nearest towns with any life in them are Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. Fife has produced people such as philospher and economist Adam Smith (centenary), John, Robert and William Adam, archtects, Gordon Brown Ian Rankin, Val mcDermid, Andrew Carnegie, Alexander Selkirk and many more successful people. Good article link below pic. Cheers.
