Spotify or Amazon music has pros & cons am sure but is it worth it for the Artist. I was never a fan until two years ago and love it now.

I still like buying the CD or LP as the artist always deserved the money as its their living and more importantly their effort. I now wonder how they get paid & is it really worth it for them. Is it how many times you play a track as I always download its great when you are outdoors but does that cost the artist as nobody will have details on how many times I have played the album.

My son thinks different as he explained he & his mates also play songs / albums they would never have so it opens the door to new fans?

I mention how many play the album to the end without fast forwarding tracks as they never gave much a chance of hearing in full.

I have always found the harder it is to get into an album then the longer you will enjoy so maybe they are missing a trick but pros & Cons could be many more just wondered is it worth it for the band.
