... Anything to use the palette emoji! I don't paint so I seriously look for reasons to use it because I love it so much! BTW, have I ever told you how much I love Ronnie Wood's paintings? 🎨🖌️🎨🖌️🎨🖌️⭐
It's going to be well past midnight for most of you by the time I'm finished writing this but the card I drew this morning for all of us is the 2 of Ghosts which, if you know tarot a little bit, is known in standard decks as the 2 of Cups. Twos deal with partnerships of all kinds but because this is Ghosts/Cups, we're definitely talking about deep love relationships. Commonly this card is viewed through the romantic lens & what a beautiful lens that is! The 2 of Ghosts/Cups astrological association is with Venus in Cancer. Where to begin with Venus in Cancer? It's extraordinary. It's true unconditional Love for someone. Now this, of course, can be your husband, wife, boyfriend, or girlfriend, and it very often is because Venus' speciality is romantic love. However, the 2 of Ghosts/Cups can be any relationship where the two involved are Soul Mates. Just look at how our little ghost friend has found his mirror image! It's that someone you meet of such like mind that you can't believe it! And then when you get to Know their soul you can't believe that either! How did you ever live without each other?! The adventure that you're about to go on together! The snake with no beginning & no end is a symbol of healing ~ the healing you find together. Due to influence of the number 2 in this card, the Two of Ghosts represents a Love that is nurturing and balanced. In many tarot decks, instead of finding a domestic cat within the borders of the Two of Cups, you'll find a fiery red lion atop a caduceus, symbolic of alchemy & passion. The winged domestic cat of the Halloween Tarot 2 of Ghosts is actually much more appropriate to me given that the sign of Cancer is about Hearth & Home. The Love symbolized by this card is one where the two it represents can spend hours together on the couch listening to music, watching television & movies together... Where did the day go? It went by SO fast!
Yesterday morning I came upon two lines of lyrics I wrote in my journal on September 20th of last year. They just came to me so I wrote them down. No more ever came. They're very simple but I like them:
"You're the sketch I'd sketch, you're the dream I'd wake to"
I do know that just 15~days earlier I'd lost my Chihuahua, Beakey, to pulmonary hypertension. He died at home at 2:20 in the morning very shortly after waking me up because he wanted me to get him more water. He also had mitral valve insufficiency (very common to Chihuahuas) which had caused him to get fluid in his lungs the previous November so ever since then he'd taken Lasix to prevent it happening again. Lasix makes them very thirsty, which is the point of it because the more they drink, the more pee pee they do, and therefore excess fluid leaves the body. So I very happily got up to give him his water & then he went back to sleep. When I went to give him his Vetmedin (this helped the pumping of his heart) 10~minutes later, he'd somehow died very quietly, which will always be the heartbreak of my life. The veterinarian who I brought him to at the emergency room believed his heart simply stopped beating and that he didn't feel any pain). The reason I tell this story is that Beakey (I'd planned on naming him Windsor when I adopted him on October 12th of 2019 from Sparky Animal Rescue in Owensboro, Kentucky, but he almost immediately began beeping from behind the door every time I came home & he heard my feet on the doorstep and he sounded like Beaker on the Muppets!) came to me with a very unique little name that no one ever knew the story of or who gave it to him. I always called him my Silent Man of Mystery and would say to him, "Only you know your story, Beakey, and you're not talking." I KNOW he was a Scorpio because look at those eyes! (Scorpios have very penetrating eyes). I swear he understood every word I said and there was this little smile that passed on his face. He LOVED keeping me guessing! Beakey WAS very quiet in a hilarious way! He had his own things going! But if he ever thought for a second that you might be a trespasser to our home, intending me harm, he would KILL you! I can't count the number of passerby to our lawn who heard the ferocity of his growl & barking as he went charging after them! (On his leash, of course!) Anyways...that little name that he came to me with? It was Sketcher. Every time I see the name Skechers (as in the sneakers) I feel like crying. But that wasn't the spelling of his name. It's Sketcher. My little, ferociously protective, Silent Man of Mystery. If any of you have any thoughts on why a Chihuahua might have been named Sketcher I'd genuinely love to hear them.
Back to those two little souls absolutely DELIGHTED by each other. Who is it that you love spending time with? Who is it that you're SO comfortable with, that makes you laugh ALL the time & that you can tell anything to and will always listen without judgement and Always but Always give you lots of Love? Well, the stars are all around you tonight, wrapping you up safely & surrounding you with love... the world is so much better for the two of you being in it & being Together. The love that's in your sweet little place spreads out to the rest of us & you're an inspiration to all of us for never giving up Hope. Love is real. And if you're not feeling it today, keep your eyes up ahead on the road because you never know what...or who...will come around that seemingly ordinary looking corner tomorrow.
Love,
Jennifer ✨❤️❤️✨
