As we all come to terms with the passing of Garry, we thought we would remind fellow COB of two songs that I know meant a lot to Garry.
The first was his favourite Rats song, Neón Heart. In the chat we had earlier this year, he said that although it was a Bob’s song, complete with chord structure, he hoped he had brought a certain swagger (my word) to the song in the way he interpreted it.
And the second song is an AC/DC classic, ‘ Hell Ain’t a Bad Place To Be’ which Garry said remained one of his all time favourite songs.
The chat with Garry can still be found under The Boomtown Rats forum box, for those who have not given it a look yet. He gave me 25 minutes of his time and some lovely insights as a Boomtown Rat. Pete put together the clip below to put out on social media and it is something that I look back on as one of the highlights from the last year.
