I’m wired for caffeine addiction and had to give up proper tea many years ago because it reached the point that I couldn’t focus or remain fully awake for 45 minutes without it. ... that was on top of the green tea-induced “brain cramps.“ But I enjoy the ritual, and like drinking something other than plain water, so I’ve found substitutes. The mugicha (barley tea) is my favorite, and there’s a local brand that makes an herbal blend called Bengal Spice that works for me as a chai substitute. I still intend to try your Yorkshire Gold and method, even if I can’t stick with it due to the caffeine.
My favourite tea is Yorkshire Gold. I strategically place the tea bag at the bottom of the mug and pour in just enough boiling water to cover the bag. I then cover the cup with a plate or something similar and leave for several minutes. I then reboil the kettle and top up the mug with the boiling water and replace the plate and leave to draw for several more minutes. The tea is now hot and ready to be consumed with or without added milk and sugar.
Speaking out of turn, my favorite was always green tea, strong and with nothing in it. But that gave me wicked headaches. I found out about barley tea ("mugicha") from a Japanese friend, and that became my new standard. No caffeine, no headache, great flavor.
tea is such a ritual , everyone has their own special way of making their own witch's brew and no other way is ever quite good enough............

You could say I need to get out more but I can't. Tea and coffee are important drinks to me and sadly I've got the time.

But at least your saving money making it yourself. I've heard it's normally a cup of tea for three ( six including V.A.T.)
and then you have to go around the rugged rocks...but that's another story.

Why do people never lock their cars in movies?
