Horrific. Abominable.

I was there for two years assisting in capacity building, based in Kabul. I met some lovely people and who had a true desire to take Afghanistan forward. I understand Ghani abdicated this morning which feels like he is just abandoning his country in their time of need. If there is a little piece of good news its that many of those who assisted in helping us the Government has got out. Some are still in quarantine as I type. But the migration and humanitarian crisis is going to be huge.

There are going to thousands of people fleeing the country, seeking refuge. Afghanistan is on the red list of Covid countries. That’s something else which is also very worrying and scary.

Unbelievable...just been lookn at some of d news coverage..yet again it's the women & the children who suffer most..heart breaking.
