...And right on time, the ITN Archive on You Tube has released behind~the~scenes Band Aid footage that genuinely hasn't been released before to the public at large. This is almost 15~minutes of footage that you'll absolutely love because it begins with an interview with Bob & then the camera just rolls beautifully and you can very audibly pick up bits of conversations happening between many of the artists who are so beloved by so many of us here. This is an absolute treasure. Some of the things that stand out are Nick Rhodes laughing throughout most of the classic photo session (his laughter can be heard almost continuously above the rest of the chatter throughout the whole thing!), the photographer having to call out to Simon Le Bon & John Taylor repeatedly to get their attention for the camera & also repeatedly calling out, "Where's Paul Weller?! Has anyone seen Paul Weller?!", Sting breaking out his newspaper, Keren from Banarama stretching her arms out in front of her on the floor because they're all posing for the picture for so long, & Rick Parfitt from Status Quo exclaiming," What a motley crew! " and talking about how he only got an hour's sleep. You will LOVE this!
I think at some point I've read almost every participant in "Do They Know It's Christmas?" talk about how it was one of the most special days in their life & how one of the best and funniest things about it is that it was like a high school auditorium assembly (Bob included in that!) Nothing has ever demonstrated that more than this great video which I can't recommend enough! Just click below.! Enjoy, Everyone!
Love,

Isn't it?! It's a true treasure. ITN snuck that in at Christmastime and I got my Christmas present late because I just stumbled upon it on Saturday morning. It was the best way I could have started my day! Oh, and of course you're welcome! I couldn't find that & not share it with everyone else since I know how much Band Aid/Live Aid means to so many of us!
Beautiful gift! My biggest dream is to participate in a new Live Aid for his 40th birthday on 13 July 2025. I hope that Sir. Bob Geldof is thinking about it, it would be something unrepeatable.
That was fun! Hadn't seen that one before...😬😁 Thanks Jennifer!
